The debut single from Shy and the Fight. 3 and half mins of love, turmoil, and a fantastic sing along chorus

It’s always seemed hard to pigeonhole Shy, they’re a sum of many parts, a fraction Arcade Fire, a good proportion of Surfjan Stevens. Done’s vocals reminded others of Frank Turner whilst Hyndman has a remarkable knack for a song with a hook. They’re also a fraction Los Campesinos, the best rockabilly bits from the Living End and some say a splash of neutral milk hotel.

They’ve since picked up radio play from BBC Radio Wales (Adam Walton & Bethan Elfyn), BBC Radio Merseyside (Dave Monks), Amazing Radio (Shell Zenner), BBC East Midlands (Dean Jackson) Radio 6 Music (Tom Robinson), Radio 1 (Jen Long) and not forgetting Radio 2 (Steve Lamacq). It got played in bars, shops, hairdressers salons and even the Olympic venues.

2012 has seen 6 music asked the band to play Wychwood 2012, and a Crackling Vinyl slot shortly after for Cardiff’s Swn festival (curated by Huw Stephens).
